I am privileged to be able to work with many grade levels at my school. As the resource teacher in the building, I am fortunate to be able to teach third grade reading, second grade math, fifth grade math, and fourth/fifth grade reading intervention. My students are energized to learn, model character behavior, and make me a better teacher every single day.
Our mission is for staff, families and community members of diverse backgrounds to work in partnership, developing students as models of outstanding character.
Students learn problem solving, responsible choice making, and the value of keeping their agreements. We are located in an urban setting in Hartford, CT. Our students originate from 33 different countries, are from Hartford, CT and surrounding urban and suburban cities and towns.
My classroom is vibrant, large, and organized. My students and I love working and learning in our classroom. We have 4 tables and 24 chairs. The tables and chairs are used for classroom seating and many times transform into learning stations in the classroom. As we have space and furniture, we do not have feasible furniture for a computer center. We have space on a counter where two desktops are located and laptops can be placed.
We would benefit in having stools to sit on comfortably, at the counter, and engage in online math programs.
The stools would allow the students to position themselves in a comfortable manner to complete their work on math facts and word problems.
