I work with special needs students in a self-contained classroom. My students are in K-2 grade levels.
My students use the computer daily for required reading and math intervention programs. They also use the computer to help
develop and increase their overall reading and language skills. The students are currently using a table that does not adjust to their height. It is more appropriate for older students and adults. Several students have to sit on large thick books like the yellow pages in order to reach the keyboard and mouse.
The students would benefit having an adjustable computer table to accommodate to their size and height. This would also ease the strain placed on their backs and necks when they are at the computers. Also, being able to touch the floor would provide a sense of balance and help them focus and concentrate more in their learning.
