Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach STEAM to over 500 students at my school. We spend a lot of time learning computer science and software engineering skills. Students are learning how to code in JavaScript and Python. We do robotics projects and even code small video games and program websites on our computers in class. Students are able to be creative and have a blast using technology to learn and create something of their own.
Students in my class love learning how to code on their computers, and headphones will make their computer science projects more immersive.
We do not have enough headphones for every student to hear their computer properly. This leads to distracting speakers playing computing sounds and students who have a hard time hearing their projects due to the need to listen through the computer speakers.
Having headphones child-sized headphones for every student will make computer science time more enjoyable and will be invaluable to student focus and learning.
