My Project

My computer science and business courses offer kids a variety of project based learning. One way they bring these projects to life is to film what they do, and film others interacting with their creations. These tools will allow my students to film themselves, film each other, and use digital film editing to bring their projects to life but also learn ways to promote and market their projects in preparation for a variety of real world potential careers

My goal for this project is to give my students ready access to high end GoPro professional filming tools so they can enhance any project in computer science or business courses.

I also want them to have green screen tools and lighting enhancements that can give them opportunities to turn any film project into something special.

The kids I am fortunate enough to teach stand out because many of them overcome obstacles each day that many of us take for granted. Things like reliable shelter, reliable transportation, families with the ability to afford child care are what most of my students can't take for granted and often have to overcome to be able to reach their academic goals. Getting these kids excited about coming to school and giving them opportunity to not just learn but create can be a real difference maker.
