This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school is a dynamic community with a bright and engaged student body. While we offer a wide range of classes and programs, we currently lack a dedicated Computer Science (CS) program. To address this gap, I am pursuing a CS credential (in addition to my current social studies credential) and have launched a makerspace called the Mule Maker Lab.

My vision is to create a computer science and STEM-focused library where students can explore resources and work on their own projects.

This CS library would be accessible to all students and could serve as the spark for young people to pursue careers in STEM, or at the very least, equip them with essential skills for today's rapidly evolving world.

Looking ahead, I aim to teach AP Computer Science and use test prep materials to help my students strive for the coveted score of 5 on the AP exam. Thank you for your time and generosity. I hope you’ll consider supporting our CS library initiative!
