My school is a Title 1 school. I have a range of students who need extra help to students that are advanced.
My fourth graders love to work together and collaborate with other students. They are very excited about learning about engineering, science, and technology. They are always asking when are we going to do our next science experiment.
My Project
My students are expanding their technology skills all the time. Adding two new Chromebooks to our classroom will provide more access to technology. We are now venturing into computer programming.Students will use the Chromebooks to work on CS Google coding curriculum and Hour to Code website. Recently, we tried a short coding lesson and they really enjoyed it. My hope is to include computer science in the classroom regularly.
My students are excited about coding.
They love learning new 21st century skills. With the lack of technology available at my school, I need more access and opportunities for my students to grow. Right now we are very limited on technology. Some of my students do not have technology at home either, the classroom is their only exposure to modern tech.
