My Students

We are a public Montessori school that is located downtown in our town. Our Montessori students in 6th and 7th grade are very curious about the world around them. Most of our students have been together for all of their school aged years.

My students are very social individuals who share their knowledge and always like to learn more.

Their minds are like sponges, and they want to soak up as much information as they can. They like discussing different issues in the world around them.

My Project

During their three years in our middle school, the students get to do three Project Lead the Way units. Next year, our program is adding one more unit called Computer Science for Innovators and Makers. This unit will allow students to discover computer science concepts and skills by creating personally relevant, tangible, and shareable projects. Throughout the unit, students will learn about programming for the physical world by blending hardware design and software development. They will design and develop a physical computing device, interactive art installation, or wearable, and plan and develop code for micro-controllers that bring their physical designs to life.
