This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse population of middle school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Help these future web designers, programmers, game developers, and computer scientists by ensuring they have the technology they need.

Students of today need to understand how the technology they use works and how to create it as well.

Most students today grow up using technology but have little knowledge of how that technology is created and how it works.

My students need a working lab to help them succeed in this fast changing world. Understanding that humans create technology and how to create that technology will open many doors for them.

My Project

My goal is to make technology accessible and useful to all my students. I want them to not just play on their phone, but program it. I teach my students a broad range of subjects such as the use of applications, graphic design, webpage design, html coding, and, object oriented programming in Python.

I have an aging computer lab classroom and need keyboards and mice to replace ones that have been used by over 100 students every school day for the last 9 years.

Keyboards and mice are necessary in order to have a functioning lab where students can learn subjects that are essential and to help them understand and create the technology that they use daily.
