This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have entered the world of technology and they are on fire for an iPad! We love to use computers for reading games, math fun and researching topics that we are studying! Our challenge is the lack of computers available to the children in our classroom.

My kindergarten students have been exposed to technology and the fun and learning opportunities that they can provide!

They are 5 years old and very excited about learning new concepts. Our school is a neighborhood school with about 400 students in grades TK-6. Some have computers in their homes but most are inexperienced when it comes to technology.

My Project

I am so excited about having an iPad in our classroom. We currently have one computer and the children love it. We have had it a very short time so we are experimenting with all the learning applications that are available to us. We have discovered many apps for language arts and math. The children are doing these activities whole class because we are limited with just one computer. We would love to eventually have enough iPads for a center that would include 6 children.

It is so important to keep children learning and growing with technology.

The world is changing and we want to be a part of the future! Can you please help fund our project and help us stay crazy for computers?
