Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are learning and growing every day to see how the world of art can expand by using design thinking as a way to solve real-world problems through an Artistic eye. I have a population that is extremely diverse and keeps me invested in learning more myself.
My students are ready to grow in the arts and I want to be able to provide the very best for them.
I am in need of a working computer mine is slower than accessible and also keeping me from downloading needed materials and ways to connect to my students especially during this time. I want to be able to zoom call and connect in ways that are helpful and meaningful especially now when we need connection in whatever way we can receive it. I want to inspire my students in their daily tasks and support them. I feel inspired to instill in my students that they can create real-world change.
I hope my students will take these skills and build better businesses and create sustainable art designs. I hope that what I am able to teach them in these moments will spread to help more people and keep the inspiration going!
My Project
I am in need of a computer that can keep up with the needs of my students. In being so far away from my students I need to be connected by computer more than ever. I have been developing lessons, creating videos, working on student check-ins and so much more. My current computer cannot keep up with the demand and I am having dropped calls, pages that will not load and so many other issues.
I truly hope to make this happen so I can be supported in the continued mission to deliver education, social and emotional learning for many students and many students to come.
I feel so inspired at this time to connect more than ever with my students to see how they are doing daily at home and keep inspiring students to keep active in their learning and moving forward with their education and goals.
