This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited learner ready to push themselves to learn new things everyday. I am currently a math/science teacher in Houston, TX. My students have expressed an interest in learning to code and program to create math/science games.

Each year we my students create math board games to reflect their learning in the class.

My students now want to use technology to create math/science games online for themselves and future 3rd grade students. Let's make learning fun through technology.

My Project

Students will be able to use the i-pad to help them code a program to create math games. Students will have to develop a game concept, math questions for other 3rd graders, and code a program for their classmates to play. I would like my students to learn to design, create, and express themselves digitally.

Coding helps our student's problem-solve, and pushes them to think through problems using logical step-by step way.

Students will work as groups and will have to present them in front of the class. Students will then have their games played in stations. Learning can be fun!
