Compression Is Like a Hug

Help me give my students compression vests to help with sensory regulation while in the classroom.

My Students

My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges we are facing is providing resources for the students in the classrooms to help with sensory regulation.

My students need compression vests to help learn strategies to keep their bodies regulated and know where they are in space.

These resources will be provided for students to use while in their classrooms.

My Project

Help me provide compression vests to our students in the classrooms. They will wear these compression vests for ten to fifteen minutes during a strenuous activity they are trying to complete.

The vest helps support a student to know where they are in space and give them a "hug" for calming.

These vests are used during Occupational Therapy guidance and will help support our youngest of learners complete tasks throughout the school day.

The vest will be supporting the students in their classrooms each day during a heightened time of day.
