Help me give my students magnetic boards, timers, and materials that will help them with their reading comprehension and help them be able to themselves to transition to new activities.
My students are student with special needs that have certain disabilities like learning disabilities and dyslexia who struggles to meet their academic goals. These students are primarily from low income communities who have very little tools to use to help them meet those academic goals set by their teachers. They have the desire to learn and are ready to soak up as much knowledge they can but are often held back by not having those tools they need to gain the information.
My Project
My students struggle with reading comprehension. The materials I have chosen will help guide them to understanding texts as they are reading independently. I want to ensure that they have the ability to read and understand what they are reading when I am not there to guide them.
I am also working to ensure that students are able to keep themselves on a schedule.
I work with many different learners throughout the day and I need to ensure that students are able to transition to different activities throughout the day so I can make sure I am not wasting valuable time.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
