This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very curious and happy fourth graders. They are eager to learn about composting and have a thirst for knowledge. Returning this year after being on distance learning has been a challenge but my students rise to the occasion daily. Currently, we are working on a food waste project at our school.

It is a very high-engagement project as it is real-world-based.

They know they can make a difference here at their school, which is an important life lesson. We will use these bins to sort compost and use these books to learn how the process works.
