This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year, we want to bring the magic to every Friday! Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun snack to mark the end of a hard working week. Our project has a number of fun notebooks to encourage journaling between students and teachers through out the school. To my students, these little writing tools like pens and bright paper will brighten their day.
Let's block out any distractions with some headphones!
Students love their virtual interventions, but let's face it, without headphones to listen to the videos, students can't hear the listens. A few headphones will give my students the tools they need to listen up!
In our grade level, we use a tiered reward system. Students can chose from the wristbands (I have already purchased the charms), holographic pencils, mood rings, and dry erase markers. I asked the students what things would they like in the class treasure box, and they listed those above items.
Every year, I like to gift my 5th graders phots of the all the activities we shared together during the year. Most years I have put them in cards but I would like to preserve them for students to keep for a lifetime. I will creating front covers and filling up the photo album for each student. It is a very time consuming project, but totally worth seeing the students excitement after getting a photo album.
