Competition Wind Turbines

Help me give my students balsa wood, acrylic, and bearings to construct their Competition Wind Turbines!!

My Project

Students will be building a wind turbine to fit in a 4' x 4' x 4' wind tunnel. The turbine must be 100% constructed by the students. Students will compete with this turbine for a chance to attend the National Competition in Boulder, CO this May!!

Students need specialized materials to build these wind turbines and have a high power output.

In addition to power output students will record the engineering design process in written documentation, present their process to a panel of judges, complete an energy quiz, and an instant engineering challenge!!
