My Project
These wonderful books will be added to our classroom library for independent reading and as whole-class read-alouds. My students will learn to see the world through the eyes of another person by reading these new books. My students will learn to work toward alleviating suffering in others in this project. I hope to lead discussions around how their words and actions impact others. These books will help to bring awareness of how we treat others in school and our community.
I hope to measure the success of my student’s understanding of compassion by discussing these sensitive topics as a whole class or in our book clubs.
The gratitude journals would make a strong impact on their mindset and being aware of their peer's mindset as well.
