This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my Geometry class, we study circles, degrees, and radians; however, my students have not used a compass in years, and many of them have never held one. We aim to draw the Unit Circle on poster paper and learn how to convert degrees to radians using compasses.

My goal is to help my students become proficient at using the compass and better understand the concepts of radius, diameter, arcs, chords, and tangent lines.

Furthermore, we want to start preparing for Pi Day for next year. We will be drawing Pi Clocks.
