My students need video cameras to complete multimedia projects and easily transfer videos onto their Chromebooks. Having these video cameras will make video projects and transfers an easy transition.
My students are a diverse group from Anderson, SC where I teach them Technology. I teach 289 students across the 12 classes that I teach. My students range from 6th-8th grade and come from all economic backgrounds. The students in my classes are smart, funny and eager to learn all that they can about technology. My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I hope that you will find it in your heart to support my students.
My Project
I teach Multimedia Basics and most of the standards involve the use of video in some way. Currently students are expected to use their cell phones for these projects. This is not ideal for students who do not have a cell phone. Using cell phones also distracts from my lessons and it is hard to reel students back in once they are allowed to have their phones out. We also run into a converting issue when students load the videos onto their Chromebooks or desktops. This adds extra steps and takes extra time that is precious in my 45 minute classes. These cameras will make a huge difference in my ability to better teach my students and enhance what they learn.
