This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door and out into their community! The hats and gloves will be given to the students and their families for the upcoming winter. New York gets very cold and these materials will help keep my students and their families warm and cozy.
Living in a low poverty community, some students and their families do not have the necessary items for winter.
The hats and gloves will put a smile on their face and warm their hearts. This will help them get to school happy, comfortable, and ready to learn.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
