My Project

Being apart of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme, our 8th grade students are embarking on meaningful Community Projects that allow them to explore their passions while making a positive impact. These projects are designed to foster student agency, global citizenship, and real-world problem-solving skills. Through this initiative, students take ownership of their learning by identifying community needs and developing creative solutions that reflect their interests and values.

This year, our students have chosen a variety of service-based projects that include jewelry making for fundraising, organizing local clean-up efforts, and reading to elementary school children.

Each project is student-led and encourages collaboration, planning, and reflection. For example, students creating handmade jewelry will sell their pieces to raise funds for local causes, while others will lead environmental clean-up days to beautify shared spaces. Meanwhile, those reading to younger students are fostering a love of literacy and building intergenerational connections within our school community.

To bring these projects to life, we are seeking support for materials such as jewelry-making supplies, cleaning tools, and age-appropriate books. Your donation will directly empower students to take action, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to become compassionate, thoughtful leaders. With your help, our students will not only complete their IB Community Projects—they will also experience the joy of giving back and the power of their own voices.
