During our first lesson in the updated space, students transitioned into work more smoothly than usual, and one student shared that the room felt \"quiet in a good way,\" which helped them stay focused during independent reading.\r\n\r\nStudents were excited and curious when they saw the changes. They took their time looking around, pointing out the new lighting, and commenting on how the room felt calmer and more comfortable. Several students who typically need extra reassurance settled in quickly, which set a positive tone for the rest of the day.\r\n\r\nAs we continue with small-group instruction and collaborative learning, this calm environment is helping students stay engaged and take more ownership of their learning.
