Help me give my students books to build empathy and appreciation for diversity with the book “More than Peach” and other picture books with the same theme.
In our classroom, we celebrate every child’s story, background, and brilliance. This project brings highlight the experiences of children with various backgrounds, skin colors, and experiences in life. Using world plush and books, students will have access to multicultural books that reflect the full spectrum of human skin tones, encouraging inclusion and the power of seeing themselves in a complex world.
These books will foster empathy, create connections across cultures, these books will mirror some students and open a window for others to learn and appreciate international cultures and subcultures.
These books and plush world toy will be a great visual and class mascot to reinforce diversity, empathy, and making the world feel just a little bit closer.
