it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my DonorsChoose page. This is a passion project for me. As a teacher and person, I place great value in good photography. But what I value more are my students. I teach ELD in the newcomer center at my school. My students migrate from all over the world. I have students from Ukraine, Honduras, Venezuela, Eritrea, Cambodia, Taiwan, Mexico, and many more. They come with a great deal of difficulty and often a great deal of trauma. As their teacher, I strive to instill in them a sense of belonging and a sense of personal value. One way I do this is through photography. I believe that a great portrait shows everyone's value and everyone deserves a great portrait of themselves.
Students deserve and are honored by professional senior pictures and other photographs.
To make even better, more professional images, I started learning about lighting. The school could really benefit from some good professional "flashes" to take senior pictures and sports portraits for the school. I will also use them at other school social functions like Prom and homecoming. These images, and their high professional quality benefit my students greatly. They love and value the images and the connect we make as a class and school through them. Thank you so much for considering a donation to make this possible.
