Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Since the pandemic students have really struggled with their mental health. They feel alone, overworked, anxious, and it's starting to take its toll on them. With this project I hope to allow students to unwind and connect with each other through art and community building.
My goal here is to provide an outlet for some of that stress and anxiety by taking a brain break and doing something fun and kind.
The items we've requested with this project will allow my classes to do a couple of different activities -- making tie dye t-shirts and friendship bracelets -- with the express purpose of having them work together, create together, and share their creations with one another.
