Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The 2022 6th grade class at my school will achieve great things in their lifetime. They have not allowed COVID, their neighborhood socioeconomic status designating our school as Title I, or their life's trials to overcome them. I've seen them be leaders in the classroom and on the playground. The creativity demonstrated in their writing and art is inspirational. The values that name our school house system of Imagine, Integrity, Perseverance, and Valor are evident in their everyday actions.

My Project

BreakoutEDU kits are similar to escape rooms. Instead of trying to get out, students will work together and use critical thinking to get in their box. A variety of lock types motivate students to solve a series of challenging puzzles. These kits will be used over and over to play standards-aligned games in various academic areas as well as for social emotional learning.

I work hard to integrate fun into our everyday learning experiences and my students really enjoy it.

These kits will help me kick it up a notch.
