My Project
Reading to students increases their language comprehension skills. Having students retell stories, targets increasing their verbal language skills of relaying information, accurate use of plurals and possessives and formulating sentences with accurate grammar. Communication is a key to success academically as well as in the work environment. I work hard to build a positive classroom environment where everyone feels welcome, safe and cared for at school.
Without necessary relationships, student learning cannot begin.
Many of my students have a variety of factors, both in and out of school, that challenge their education and I do my best to help students overcome any hurdles they may face throughout the year. My goal is to increase students abilities to express their thoughts, needs and ideas with the requested language activity boxes, writing practice magic boards, and storytelling kits.
