We want thoughtful and successful citizens of the world. In our classroom, we investigate the world, develop understandings of different perspectives, communicate our ideas, and take action to enact global solutions.
My students are bright and eager to learn.
Regardless of the societal pressures around them, they come to school with a thirst for knowledge. In class we not only learn about issues that concern us and our community, but we engage in service learning projects that address these issues and make a difference in the lives of others.
My Project
In order to prepare my students to be successful citizens of the world, I feel it is imperative they have ample opportunities to interact with technology. To incorporate technology into service learning projects, I am requesting digital cameras they can use to document resources in our community.
These cameras will provide my students with the lens through which they can realize that vision means seeing what is possible and taking action.
With them, they will see the world around them and see how they can participate in this world to make a difference.
