My Project

Hello!

I am a speech-language pathologist in an elementary school in University City School District in Missouri.

I work with students from Kindergarten all the way through 5th grade, helping them to be better communicators. This year our school building started a self-contained classroom. This has brought in some amazing students, who have special ways of learning and communicating. In order to better support them, I would love to increase my inventory of sensory supports. The sensory table and accessories will be a great way to model language and get the students communicating their wants and needs, while also getting the sensory input they need. The board books on my list will help expose some students to literacy, who normally struggle to manipulate paper-back books. They will be able to work on core word language with toys such as the shape sorter, emotions pineapple, and trucks.
