Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a low-income, high-mobility school that is Title I. This means all of our children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school day. We have a diverse population and serve children and families from many different cultures.
The students at our school are sweet and crave positive interactions and for someone to show a genuine interest in them.
They are eager to learn new things and love to share what they have learned with others. These students need positive role models in their lives to introduce them to the wonders of the world around them.
My Project
I am asking for student mailboxes so that students can get back graded assignments and notes for home in an organized way.
These student mailboxes will improve our classroom by allowing it to run more efficiently as well as more safely.
I will sort student work and letters for parents into the mailboxes for students to take home daily. Students will be able to stay organized because they will have all of their papers in a stack to take home. Helping my students stay organized will help my classroom run smoothly and save instructional time.
