Hello, my name is Miss Jean. I am a 1st year pre-k special needs teacher of the cutest group of kids! The majority of kids in my classroom are autistic and nonverbal. I am always looking for new ways to help them them communicate. Their inability to communicate is the largest barrier to learning at this time. I have found that art has been the most effective way to keep them engaged. My students love the freedom and of exploring the world and learning through art. Many of my students can become very stressed out and upset trying to manipulate toys or other traditional methods of learning. Art has been away for everyone to learn together at their own pace. I would love to have art supplies for my classroom to help my students. I love their true potential. Thank you.
