My Project
Students need a comfortable place to sit and listen to stories, as well as spread out and read independently. I would like to improve safety of this type of learning by providing each students with a specific amount of space where they are able to be free from other's touching them and being in their personal bubble. I am hoping this will improved engagement and on task behavior during our shared reading and writing times by reducing possibilities of distracting behavior from peers.
My students need help with structure and boundaries, while also being given the opportunity for space and choice.
I feel this type of carpet space will help them define personal parameters and make it easier to move a student who is unable to make a good choice to a defined place where they can listen and learn properly.
