This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My early childhood special education classroom consists of many students with Autism.
Students with Autism often struggle with sitting on the floor due to sensory overload amongst other reasons, so these seats will allow them to access the curriculum like their peers and classmates in a way where they are comfortable.
Having comfy, color coded floor seats will help make circle time, not only a comfortable space, but a great place for my students to learn among their friends without feeling different.
Who doesn’t love to be comfortable while they learn?
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
