Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a group of 22 lively 7 year olds. A lot of them are new to the country and are getting accustomed to a new home and school life. Our different backgrounds make us a unique classroom.
Our days are filled with stories and adventure.
They love to tell stories about their country and all the fun things they miss. This year I intend to use those wonderful stories to build a good writing foundation. our main focus will be literacy since a lot of them are still learning how to read and write.
My Project
These comfy seats will help my students feel at home while in the classroom. Some of my students come with very little schooling. I want my classroom to be a great school experience for them. Since my main focus will be to guide my students towards mastery in reading and writing the English language, I would love to have flexible seating options and reading spaces for them to get comfortable while they read and write.
I intend to create different nooks and spaces so students acquire skills in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Flexible seating options will definitely make this a reality.
