it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This proposal seaks alternative seating for gifted students for use in small group discussions and reading activities. Research indicates that comfortable seating can improve focus, reduce stress and foster a positive learning environment.
By providing flexible seating, we aim to create a comfortable environment and inviting space that enhances concentration, creativity and engagement in their reading activities.
This project will serve gifted students in grades K-6 in their enrichment program. These students often require differentiated learning spaces in order to maximize their potential.
Comfortable Seating allows students to engage more deeply with the material. A relaxed environment encourages longer, more productive reading sessions. It promotes cognitive engagement and stimulates creativity. Also, the alternative seating options can be especially beneficial for students who struggle with traditional desk arrangements.
The flexible seating options will be placed in the schools designated reading corner. Students will have access to them during designated reading hours and will be encouraged to use them for independent reading or group discussions.
