Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

We are a hard-working 1st grade class in a high-need elementary school in Maryland.

We spend a lot of time reading in 1st grade! We are becoming wonderful readers and we are so excited each time we get a new book. Now we just need a comfy place to curl up and enjoy it!

Our classroom has tile floors, which aren't that comfy to sit on! We have gotten a rug for our reading corner, which helps, but we would love to have some more comfortable things to sit on around the room.

Your help will allow my students to read independently and with their reading buddies for longer periods of time, which will help them grow as readers and help foster a love of books!
