This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an English Language Arts teacher for ENL students, my main goal is to help my students develop reading skills. They are all reading 1-5 years below reading level. This project is for two cozy chairs that will make the reading center an inviting and comfortable place to read.
I plan on using the cozy chairs to provide a comfortable place for the students to read their independent reading books.
Cozy chairs will ensure my students feel secure and supported while they focus on reading. I can't wait to see my students' reactions when they see the latest addition to our classroom. It will make them want to read rather than have to read.
