Help me give my students a new and comfy rug for our classroom!

My Students
Our school is slowly transitioning to be dual language with Chinese and Spanish being taught. I’ve taught ENL kindergarten for four years and now I’m transitioning to dual language side by side Chinese with my class being the English section. ENL students show so much growth in a year, especially in kindergarten. They enter your room with minimal English language and leave speaking in fluent sentences, reading and writing and this is the most rewarding part of being a teacher. They work so hard during the year that by the end you can’t even believe how much they’ve grown.
My Project
Since this is a kindergarten class we know how many accidents happen during the year and always on our rugs, unfortunately. My classroom would benefit from a new rug after all the ‘accidents’ it’s been through. Having a single color rug rather than one with patterns will have students be able to sit flexibly rather than looking for their spot or worry that they are sitting on someone else’s spot. This year I want to focus on giving students more independence in the classroom. A comfier rug will welcome students during reading time and curl up to a good book with a friend or on their own.
