Comfy Literacy Fun

My students need a comfy child friendly couch to read on with a friend, learning letters and alphabet bubbles.

My Students

My class is made up of seventeen very energetic boys and girls. We encourage them to be themselves and to see similarities and differences in all the children in the classroom. We encourage them to break stereotypes. We want them to be accepting of other genders and cultures. We are in need of some new and updated supplies. Every year, wear and tear shows up on our favorite things. The children enjoy what we have in the classroom and what we use outside for fun.

My Project

I am asking for three simple items. My students have increasingly wanting to spend more time in our comfy cozy corner. Here they can relax with a book and a friend. However, they do not have a child friendly couch to feel relaxed on.

Who doesn’t love to play in the water while learning their letters and sounds?

I have been introduced to a fun game that allows children to learn while playing in the water. It looks like they will enjoy this activity. I am also asking for new activities to help the children build their letters out of pieces. They will think they are playing but I will know that they are learning too.
