My Project
A classroom rug is an important learning space in the classroom. I am asking for three rugs to be used for morning time and for our reading rotation book centers. Classroom rugs really are the center of a classroom for young learners. Carpet time supports early learners' academic and social-emotional skills. These times reinforces their phonics knowledge, helps students establish boundaries in finding their own space, and assists with daily routines. It will also provide a welcoming environment for current and future students.

Having a comfortable rug space to work on learning centers makes learning time more enjoyable. My students also have required apps and programs that they have to do weekly and being comfortable with your own headphones encourages focused learning and limits distractions when on a rug instead of their desk.
