My Students
Students who are able to be in a comfortable and safe environment can thrive and develop into successful adults.
The students at my school are enthusiastic and excited kids who thrive in a supportive classroom environment.
A high percentage of the students at my school are English Language Learners who need a variety of interactive and engaging activities to focus and learn.
My Project
With a new classroom rug, my class will be able to sit close to the board and focus all of their attention on the lesson. In my experience, students 'take away' the entire lesson and/or message when they can sit on the classroom rug altogether, facing the teacher. My students will be able to learn by active listening, asking questions and peer discussions. The spacious rug will allow the students to feel comfortable and safe because they will have their own individual place for themselves. In addition, a colorful classroom rug will create an inviting atmosphere for our guests.
A classroom rug is key to an effective, safe and comfortable learning environment, not only for the students, but for the teacher as well.
The students seated on the rug, in front of the teacher, will focus their attention to the lesson being taught. Also, the teacher can be sure that all students are learning as the students are sitting altogether in front, as opposed to sitting at class desks, which are usually spread out throughout the classroom.
