This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This proposal seaks funding for bean bags for gifted students to use during independent reading sessions. Research indicates that comfortable flexible seating can improve focus, reduce stress and foster a positive learning environment.

By providing bean bags, we aim to create a comfortable and inviting space that enhances concentration, creativity, and engagement for gifted students during their reading activities.

Gifted students in grades 3-5 who are part of the school's enrichment program. These students often require differentiated learning spaces to maximize their potential

Program Benefits:

Increased Focus: Comfortable seating allows students to engage more ddeply with the material.

Improved Productivity: A relaxed environment encourages longer, more productive reading sessions.

Enhanced Creativity: A comfortable space promotes cognitive engagement and stimulates creativity.

Increased Participation: Alternative seating options an be especially beneficial for students who struggle with traditional desk arrangements.

Implementation Plan:

The bean bags will be placed in the school's designated reading corner. Students will have access to them during designated reading hours and will be encouraged to use them for independent reading or group discussions.
