My Students

I have seventeen sweet second graders in my classroom this year. I’ve been with this group of students for two years now. I think of them as part of my family. They all have unique personalities with lots of different interests and talents. It’s been amazing watching them grow over the past two years both physically and academically.

My students are very eager learners who enjoy stem projects, hands-on math, reading books, and this year they’ve absolutely loved our PBL units of study.

It’s a perfect age to teach because it doesn’t take much for their little personalities to shine.

My Project

Flexible seating allows for student choice in the classroom. It gives the students opportunity to choose where they want to sit and learn. It allows them to change their locations and positions as needed. Flexible seating allows the students to wobble, stand, sit, rock and bounce, which helps young minds stay focused.

An uncomfortable student is a distracted and unproductive student, therefore, flexible seating will allow students to be more collaborative and share their spaces.

Therefore, I'd like to have these stools to add flexible seating in my classroom so that my classroom environment is inviting and relaxing to all students.
