This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the privilege of teaching twenty-four enthusiastic, eager-to-learn 3-4 year-olds. They come in every morning, with a positive attitude and curiosity to explore what this world has to offer. At this age, my children (students) are developing critical skills that will allow them to succeed in the future.
Unfortunately, they are in urgent need of Calming Area resources that will further foster their social-emotional development.
While at play, my children (students) are acquiring social-emotional skills, language skills, and cognitive skills. A Calming Area is a useful strategy to teach self-management. In my classroom, it will help my children (students) de-escalate when they are having a difficult time. With your kind donation of these Calming Area resources, you will be making a significant contribution to my children's (students') academic success.
