This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the privilege of teaching twenty-four enthusiastic, eager-to-learn 3-4 year-olds. They come in every morning, with a positive attitude and curiosity to explore what this world has to offer. At this age, my students are developing critical skills that will allow them to succeed in the future. While at play, my students are acquiring social-emotional skills, languages skills, and cognitive skills.
A Calming Area is a useful strategy to teach self-regulation.
In my classroom, it will help my students de-escalate when they are having a challenging time. With your kind donation of these Calming Area resources, you will be making a significant contribution to my student's academic success. We would love a sofa for our calming area.
