This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Reading is not what most children like to do. Having a comfortable place for the students to read will hopefully create more readers in my classroom.

My students do not come from the wealthiest families.

They do not have the best things. They are low income, immigrant families mainly from Spanish speaking countries. They work hard and care about education. We live in NY and go to a NYC public school.

My Project

The reading chairs I have asked for will be used to create "comfy corner will" in the class. These spots will create safe comfortable places for the students to do their best work. They will be able to read, write, study, and practice math facts in a work environment that suits them. They will be able to stretch out and get what they need in a place they want.

Please help make our classroom into a safe comfortable place to learn.
