This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am slowly transitioning to full flexible seating in my classroom. Students are given choice and taught responsibility with flexible seating. The option of having floor seats will allow me to lower a table and have my students sit on the floor. There is just something about sitting on the floor in a comfy seat that is appealing and motivating to students.
Flexible seating allows students to choose where they seat and what they sit on so that they can be successful.
Students like to move around in their seats while they learn. By starting flexible seating with my 1st graders, they will be better prepared, responsible, and independent when they go to second grade. Thank you for supporting my classroom!
