Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom community is made up of a diverse group of kindergarten students who vary in ethnicity, home language, socioeconomic status, and learning style.
We are committed to creating equitable learning environments in which all children can grow academically and socially.
In addition to our rigorous curriculum, we also support our students' learning through project-based learning. These projects help us demonstrate our learning in ways that are meaningful to us. Students are given the opportunity to direct their own learning and are empowered to express their understanding in their unique way.
My Project
Many of our kindergarten students have transitioned back to in person learning. Students are learning to navigate their classroom space, and we have made adjustments to the learning environment and modes of instruction to follow new guidelines.
We made many changes in the room to be safe, and we are looking for alternatives to sitting in chairs at tables.
These cushions will provide a comfortable option for students to spread out for reading, writing, choice time... the possibilities are endless! Our eager minds and wiggly bodies appreciate your support with this project!
