Help me give my students a comfy classroom rug! Our classroom rug is an important learning space in our classroom. It is the center of our classroom. Most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug.
I have the honor and privileged to teach the most amazing students in the WORLD! My scholars are entering grade 2, where independence is MAJOR to their learning and academic, social, and emotional growth. My students are eager scholars ready to take on a new school year. I purchase a lot of materials and I am in need of giving them one material that requires much support... a classroom rug! Most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. We read books together, have group discussions, I conference one and one and in small groups with students who need privacy as well as a challenge and support. My students also loves to lay and read independently, present and share their work with their classmates. Most importantly, we begin and end our day together on the rug as a classroom family.
