My students are very unique and amazing! My students and their families come from various parts of the world. My students are able to teach me about various cultures and traditions. They become the teacher and myself the student.
My students approach each day ready to take on a challenge.
They inspire me to grow as an educator. They are striving to work in a global setting and to become the future leaders of this world. I am so proud to be their teacher!
Classrooms of today offer what we have termed "flexible seating". Teachers who use flexible seating give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and help them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. My students have a choice to use lap desks, wobble stools, clipboards and wobble cushions or remain in a traditional desk.
A cozy carpet will be yet another area in the classroom in which students will have a choice to do their work.
This area will be used for read-alouds, small group time and to facilitate classroom discussions about topics that matter to them.
